  • Husband and wife win at Boondooma
    The weekend was a fairytale story for Allwood family. Possibly the first time a husband and wife have won first and second in Bass tournament. Terry Allwood won the tournament with a total score of 2506 points, 6 out of 6 possible bass caught, he won $750 cash and a Leather key ring with the score engraved o it from Trevor’s leathers. Terry also won the biggest bass 467mm in length and took home the bass cash pool of $330 and a Eve Kool ice box. Kimberley came second with a score of 2343

  • FATHER AND SON DAVID AND MATT BURKE WIN AT TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND ONE QUALIFIER AT CANIA
    Congratulations to David and Matt Burke of Toowoomba Team Bass Wranglers they won the cash section and caught the biggest bass bag for the Sunday and the weekend of 863 mm . This won them a $1,000 cash and they also won the biggest bass pool of $380 and took home two Eva Kool ice boxes and two sets of Trevor's Leathers leather key rings.

  • Barry Reynolds wins at Cania Qualifer round two 18tha nd 19th of April 2015
    Barry Reynolds of Nambour in QLD won round two of the bass fishing qualifier which was held at Cania dam this weekend. He had score of 2445 points and caught his 6 of 6 possible bass. He put the win down to his skill using the new SMAK'OS Spinner baits. Mathew Mott of Murgon came second with a score of 2387 points who also used the SMAK'OS Spinner baits.

  • Hot weather did not stop or slow down anglers who fished round one of the bass fishing qualifying round at BP Dam. Matthew Mott won the round with a bag of six good sized bass. His total was 2278 points.

  • Matt Mott wins 2013 Grand Final
    Matt Mott of Murgon in QLD won the 2013 Basstasstic Grand final in November at Borumba dam. His score was huge and most likely his PB. He fished with Callum Munro who came second with a great score as well.

  • Steve Otto of Brisbane won the 2012 Basstasstic Bass fishing Grand Final with a score of 2492, 6 out of 6 bass caught.
    Runner/Up was Wayne Blundell also of Brisbane with ascore of 2382 also had 6 out of 6 bass caught. Third place was Barry Reynolds of the Sunshine Coast with a score of 2346, 6 out of 6 bass caught.Forth place was Mike Delisser of Brisbane with a score of 2228, 6 out of 6 bass caught.Steve Otto won $3,300 in prizes,cash and Trophy.

    This years teams championship bass fishing event will be held this year.You don't have to be a member to fish in it.The event has taken on a new concept how it is run. It will no doubt be the best teams bass fishing idea ever in the country.

    Callum Mumro of the Sunshine coast won the Basstasstic bass fishing Grand final for second year in a row. He took home the two thousand dollar cash pool plus other prizes and trophy's Mark Sheen of Rockhampton came a close second with his best proformance to date.

  • Tournament cancelled due to flood rains . Basstasstic bass fishing teams event which was to be held at Somerset dam this coming weekend has been cancelled due to flooding in Queensland . Somerset dam has been closed for any boating and fishing activities by SEQ Water. The dam is reported to be closed until Friday of next week and if more rain falls in catchment could be closed for two weeks. The water is mudddy in colour and would be hard to fish.This tournament will be transfered to a date to b

  • SOMERSET FIRES FOR SHANE BARLING
    Shane Barling a new comer to bass fishing won the 5th round of the Basstasstic bass fishing trials event held at Somerset dam. He come a long way to fish the event,it is 19hours to home Wy-Wyung in Victoria.Trevor Stead of Kingaroy came in a very close second place.

  • We just finished fishing the Somerset round of the ABT tournament and It was good to see quite a few Basstasstic members competing. Congratulations must go to Steve Otto who finished 3rd and to Mike Crieghton who also finished in the prizemoney. Although it wasn't easy, there were still plenty of fish weighed in, including a few of the huge bass that Somerset is famous for. Biggest fish was a magnificent 3.55kg specimen
