Terry Allwood of Wondai put on a great display of anglerling skills to win a second time in row at the Basstasstic round two Bass fishing Qualifying round held at Cania Dam on the 21st and 22nd of April . He won at Boondooma last month in round one and stormed home with a win in round two held at Cania Dam . On Friday on pre-fish not one fish was landed by him. He was thinking a disaster was going to happen, but he put mind to the job of finding fish and landing two good fish at each of the three sessions held over the weekend. He won his spot by beating 46 other anglers .His scores were 830 points session one ,810 points in session two and 784 points in session three ,which gave him a 2424 points win. The weekend was tough fishing ,so this was a really good effort to claim a back to back wins so far this year. His closest rival on the weekend was Matthew Langford of Kingaroy who came second overall with a score of 2381 points. Terry also won the Eva Kool biggest bass prize and cash pool with a 437 to fork Cania bass and took home $1460 in prize money. Matthew Langford of Kingaroy put a huge effort to come second at Basstasstic round two bass fishing qualifier. He fished three sessions for the weekend with scores of session one 743 points session two 825 points and session three 813 points with total score of 2381 points. It was tough fish for all 47 anglers who fished on the weekend. Third place went to THIRD PLACE WINNER BARRY REYNOLDS OF NAMBOUR AT THE ROUIND TWO BASSTASSTIC QUALIFIER HELD AT CANIA DAM APRIL 2018,Barry had a great weekend and had three good measure-ins with session one he had two good fish 416 and a 374 ,in session two he had 376 and a 398 and to finish the weekend he came in on Sunday with 385 and a 394 to make a total of 2343 points for the weekend. He took home $500 in cash for his efforts. FOUTH PLACE DANIEL McCOY OF WESTBROOK QLD ,Daniel a new comer to Basstasstic had great weekend on the water. How ever he also had a bit of bad luck with one fish measured in sick in last session which was given a 5cm penalty . He still did very well session one he had two good fish 391 and a 408 ,in session two he had 421 and a 389 and to finish the weekend he came in on Sunday with 350 and a 373 to make a total of 2332 points for the weekend. He took home $400 in cash for his efforts. FIFTH PLACE DAVID BURKE OF TOOWOOMBA QLD , David had a great weekend at the Basstasstic round two qualifier . He put in great effort on the water in tough fish to measure-in 6 good bass. Session one he had 420 and 410 in afternoon session he dropped back in size but still did well with a 327 and a 344 sized bass. On Sunday he came in with 346 and 426 which rounded a really good weekend off to give him a 2273 score in total ,he took home $300 cash. 6th place went to Dave Bullard of Dalby he had a score of 2241 points and won the Gatton Home Brew Fishing and Camping donated prize of a Samaki Zing rod prize. 7th place went Paul Allwood of Ipswich who had a score of 2208 points and won the Eva Kool donated ice box prize of a 45lt poly ice box . 8th place went to Rick Russell of Hervey Bay with score of 2019 points he won the Somerset Tackle store donated prize of a Green Arrow Golden Mean custom Bass rod. 9th Place went to Braden Schuch of the Sunshine coast with a score of 1936 points ,he won the Eidsvold DJ'S Tyre service prize of a jump start kit. 10 place went to Mark Peterson of Brisbane with a score of 1692 points and he won the Bassman SpInnerbaits prize. 11th place went to Darren Greenstreet of Brisbane with a score of 1550 points he won the Planet 72 Ice Creamery prize of a Shimano T-Cureve Rod 12th place was Wayne Greenstreet of Brisbane who had a score of 1550 points as well and took home the A1 Roadworthy's QLD prize of a Shimnao Sedona reel. Junior winner overall Emma Wojtasik of Nambour had a reall good score of 1731 points and won the Bill and Cindy Schloss donated prize of a pack of lures.
