Terry Allwood takes the number one spot and $5,000 cash at the Basstasstic Grand Finals

Anglers travelled to Cania Dam on the  25th and 26th of November  to fish in the Basstasstic Singles and Junior Grand Final. With huge cash and prizes to be won all were keen to get out there and try and win some money or prizes. The dam was 100% full so plenty of spots and area of water to fish. With 36 senior anglers all wanting a piece of the cash pool and with so many good prizes on offer, game on by all. On Friday night all the senior anglers were sold min a Calcutta, auctioned off to whom ever could afford them some went for big money some went for bugger all. But the Calcutta pool ended up a huge $1800, so 3 lucky buyers would go home with a pocket full of money.  The weather was perfect and anglers know what Cania can deliver. On Saturday night  at camp Nowland where most of the anglers gathered to talk and eat, all the talk was on who would be lucky on day two. But at the end of day ,it was all down to 5 anglers who could win the number one spot. Terry Allwood of Wondai ,Patrick Conduit of Brisbane, Brett Renz of Bundaberg , Paul Allwood of Ipswich and Michael Thompson of Stanthorpe.  At the end of session three Terry Allwood was the angler to rise the winners place of number one angler for 2017 Grand Final . He was very proud that he and his dad Paul and lets not leave out that his daughter Layla Allwood who won first in the juniors, done so well. They were given great praise by all anglers as it is not easy to win like that and may never be done again. A special time for all the Allwood family. The prizes this year were a real credit to the sponsors and their belief in the Basstasstic Tournaments.
