Frosty Round 3 at Cania Dam puts Jim Griffiths Top of Basstasstic Rankings

Jim Griffiths is top of Basstasstic rankings after winning a frosty Round 3 of the Basstasstic Tournament Series last weekend (14-15th May) at Cania Dam. Jim bagged out in all sessions with a total of 1955, closely followed by Rod Schull (1825) and Kyle Gleich (1724). Hayden Raymor was fourth and caught Biggest Bass – 40cm (1645).

Cania Dam has had a partial roll over, with dirty water reaching from the dam wall through to the other side of the Quarry. Only a few fish have been lost and there are still big schools of bass in the Timber. Kyle Gleich lead the results at end of the second session and said “They’re not biting, its territorial strikes”. Many fish were caught in the gills (not the mouth).  Anglers caught fish on spinnerbaits, chubbies and blades in gold, white, purple and black.
